An overview is the second major continents of the world and cover a territory of 6% of the total area of the globe. Surrounded by water from several aspects, namely in the Mediterranean Sea to the North, the Suez Canal and the Red Sea in the North-East and Indian Ocean in the South West and the Atlantic Ocean to the West. The continent has 54 independent State including Madagascar and many other islands. Extending its territory North and South of the Equator and is the only continent that lies on both sides of the northern and southern region, the displays to varying climatic conditions.
